Cairnhill is a family run enterprise which has been involved in the nursing home business for two generations, operating with 35+ years of experience in both the UK and Ireland.  There are six members of the McMahon family involved at all levels of the organisation. We pride ourselves in taking a hands-on approach to providing nursing home care.

The ethos of Cairnhill is to provide the highest quality of care and service to Residents, above and beyond their expectations whilst striving to create a homely environment. We understand that the decision to move into long-term care can be a difficult one and a stressful time for Residents and their families. At Cairnhill we want to make the transition as smooth as possible. We aim to create a home away from home for our Residents.

Meet Us

Prospective Cairnhill Residents (if able) and their relatives / representatives will be afforded the opportunity to meet other Residents and staff and ask any questions they may have. All admissions to Cairnhill are planned and families and prospective Residents are encouraged to visit the premises prior to admission. It is important that prospective Residents make an informed choice about their decision to move into nursing home care and visiting the facility prior to admission can help them to decide if the nursing home is the right fit for them. Pre-assessment by our team also ensures that staff understand the Resident’s specific care needs and whether Cairnhill can appropriately address those needs. A senior member of the Clinical Management Team will visit the prospective Resident at home or in the referring facility to carry out a pre-assessment and to answer any questions the Resident may have.
